She’s Diva 3

No longer terrible two.
LittePrincess turned diva 3 this month.

She’s into girly stuffl like Barbie and Disney Princesses.
She loves to hold pretend tea parties and dressing up to the nines complete with 1-inch glass slippers.

On the other hand, she likes cars, skidoos and power tools too.
After all, she is 101% Papa’s girl.

Our Family Quirks

In reply to Olive’s tag…

Quirky things that make our family special:

1. We are a global family. FrenchCharming’s ancestry is a mixed of NativeAmerican and French. Mine is Filipino and Littleprincess is Chinese. And we live in the melting pot of Canada.

2. Three languages are spoken at home. French, English and Tagalog.

3. We love to travel. FrenchCharming and I met in Toronto. Had our first date in Boston. We became a couple in Montreal. Got married in Toronto and the Philippines. Honeymooned in France. And became a family in China. We spend most of our free time travelling…going for long road trips and if money is available…out of the country.

4. We are D.I.Y family. We enjoy doing things on our own….we do most of our home projects (such as renovating, house painting, building furnitures) by ourselves. Littleprincess is following our footsteps. She would rather play with empty boxes and bottles than with store-bought toys.

5. We are lefties. The three of us are left-handed. :-)

6. We have a quirky sense of humor. We see the bright and funny side of life.

In the Eye of a Storm

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been very ‘unstable’ when it comes to my career. There are so many things going on. So many unknowns. How I wish I have enough resources to just f@#$%6 it and leave. But …. I am just not ready to quit. I still have enough geeky juice to run a well-oiled machine.

So here I am, in the eye of the storm. Waiting and waiting …for everything to calm down. Whatever will happen, I am ready.

Dear LittlePrincess #1

Dear LittlePrincess,
If, fifteen years from now, you decided to dye your hair neon green or have a mohawk hairdo, your honeypapa promised that he will do the same thing with his hair in support of your decision. You can look at this picture for reference.

P.S.
If there’s no more update in this blog, it means that FrenchCharming had turned into a ferocious dragon and annihilated the daylights out of me because I posted this photo. Peace, honey :-)

Snippets of conversations

I’m so ‘duling’ na with work….:-( Anyway, here are some conversations I had with FrenchCharming and LittlePrincess this week.

With FrenchCharming:
While looking at the magazines and books scattered on the bed, FrenchCharming let out a big sigh and started to gather everything up…

Defensively, I snapped, ‘ What!!! I’m intellectual…’ (trying to justify my mess)

FrenchCharming looked at the title of the book that I was reading…..and we started laughing….

The title of the book: 10,000 ways to say I love you by Gregory J.P. Godek. :-)

With LittlePrincess:
After dressing her up one morning, I cooed: Wow! ang cute-cute ng baby ko!

LittlePrincess screamed ‘NO!!!’

Taken abacked by her outburst, I was about to launch a long speech about good behavior…

LittlePrincess beat me by a second by saying, ‘I’m preeettty!’

Sige na nga……….:-)
